She saw that most parents had just given up on trying to help their children. I'm not sure if the parents just thought that there was nothing they could do to help so they did nothing or if the parents just never got any guidance on how to help their children when they were away from school. She found that most people never even knew that there were programs, grants, foundations, schools and other things set in place to help those with disabilities. A lot of people with don't even realize that there are special bus services for those with disabilities. If there was some way to show people that there is hope, maybe they wouldn't give up.
